Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay due to organisms an lack of oxygen. Groundwater rich in dissolved solids flows through the sediment, replacing the original material with silica, calcite, pyrite or another inorganic material like opal.
These stones carry the life-force of these trees forth. A genuine connection to the natural world.
- Recycled .925 Sterling Silver

This item is reduced in price. While setting this stone in excitement, one broke in half. I added a resin to the back and take all responsibility if anything happens. Though I am certain this piece will last.
